League of African Dev. Students commend Ikpeazu,honour Perm Sec

The League of African Development Students has commended the efforts of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in promoting academics and students’ welfarism in Abia State.

The students body which cuts across African countries also appreciated the governor for promoting the cause of students in the State.

Speaking during the presentation of the award of the 2019 Distinguished African Patriotic award of excellence tagged “African Patriotic Personality of the Year”
to the Permanent Secretary,Government House Umuahia, Elder Bernard Ogbonna in his office, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Morgan Gabriel lauded the State Government for bringing academic prowess to bear in governance as well as the promotion of “Made in Aba” products which now sales beyond the shores of Africa.

The student body while noting that the award to Elder Ogbonna is in honour for his contributions to good governance in Africa’s quest for development through public service, human development, philanthropy and meritorious service to God and humanity,urged him not to relent in his efforts in promoting good governance in the State.

Recieving the award,Elder Bernard Ogbonna assured that the state government would sustain the cordial relationship existing between the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration and the students adding that government has been partnering students to ensure peaceful cohesion.

He disclosed that Abia government has a robust economic plan for its people, pointing out that the Enyimba Economic City being initiated by the Governor would provide over 700 thousand jobs for the youths.

Elder Ogbonna while appreciating Governor Ikpeazu for providing the opportunity for him to excel, thanked the students body for honouring him.

The award presentation was witnessed by the management and staff of Government House, Umuahia.
