Leaders have been enjoined to seek God’s wisdom in order to lead exceptionally.
Speaking in a sermon at Blessed Chapel International, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, during a thanksgiving service for second term in office/school dedication of the member representing Umuahia East State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwudi Apugo, the Presiding Bishop of the Church, Bishop Henry .I. Oluseyenum who spoke on the topic “Wisdom For Good Governance” with scriptural readings from 1Kings 3:28, Proverbs 8:16, charged Christians especially political leaders to go for Divine Wisdom if they must make meaningful impact in leadership.
Bishop Oluseyenum, maintained that Divine wisdom is hearing the word of God and putting it into practice stressing that one can cultivate godly wisdom through prayers.
He, therefore, charged political leaders to always pray to God for guidance on how to lead well.
Contributing, the Speaker of the Abia state House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Chinedum Orji, appealed to the church to always pray for political leaders for enabling grace to carry out their tasks as expected.
Also speaking, immediate past Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia Central at the National Assembly, Chief T. A. Orji, commended Hon.Chukwudi Apugo, for finding it worthwhile to return to God in thanksgiving adding that they came in the same faith with him to honor God with respect to what He has done for them.
He enjoined the church to pray that God will turn petition writers to praise writers for a hitch free governance in the state.
