The Knights of St. Mulumba, Aba diocese inaugurated the Youths of St. Mulumba (YSM), Aba Diocese at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Aba precisely on Sunday, 29th October 2023.
Speaking at the event, the Coordinating Grand President, Sir Vincent Agu (KSM) affirmed that the idea was enshrined in the Constitution of Knights of Saint Mulumba (KSM), Nigeria in the year 2005 after about 23 years (since 1982) of being deliberated upon at the African Regional Body. He opined that the mission for the inauguration was to inculcate good morals and values in the youths of today who would subsequently take over from the adults someday.
In an interview with the PRO of the YSM, ABA Diocese, Bro Asiegbu Victor, he said that he is delighted to be a member as the Order, YSM, has given him the right ground to serve God and humanity. The Secretary of the YSM ABA Diocese, Bro. Anyikwa Michael Chibueze, excitedly opined that his driving force was to belong to an Order where love and fraternity is the order. He reiterated that the Order would give him the right avenue to enjoin all Youth to come to God and shun all forms of vices and immorality associated with the end time. He went further to say that as a Nigerian Youth and a YSM member, he had great hope for Nigerian Youths in that if he could be the change Nigeria needs at his unit and there are at least one of such change at all the States of the Federation, the Nigerian Youth would be enterprising and law-abiding.
Addressing the YSM members, the Coordinator YSM Aba Diocese, Sir Barth Orji Izuka encouraged the members to live up to godly standards and shun evil, moral and social vices.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation and subsequent blessing of 24 pioneer members of Youths of Saint Mulumba (YSM), Aba Diocese by the Catholic Bishop of Aba Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Prof. AUGUSTINE NDUBUEZE ECHEMA.
