King of Kidnap, Evans, for arraignment today

Famed King of Kidnap, Evans, will have his day in court today, as he faces 52 count charges bordering on kidnapping, murder and possession of firearms.

The notorious kidnapper’s arraignment is coming as the police have concluded investigation into crimes committed by him before the expiration of the 90 days remand order granted by the Federal High Court.

Evans’ first case is to come up before Justice Oshodi of the Ikeja High Court, is the Kidnap of Mr. Donatus Dunu in Ilupeju area of Lagos, from whom he Collected 150 million naira ransom from.

Evans and 15 of his gang members have been arrested and are facing 14 substantive cases; 10 of which are in Lagos and 4 in Edo State, which 52 charges of multiple murders, armed robberies, kidnappings, unlawful possession of firearms, unlawful possession of ammunitions etc.

The cases were filed by the Force Legal Department and Lagos State Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) before the Lagos State High Court, Federal High Court and Edo State High Court, Benin.

The case before Justice Oshidi is one of the 14 Cases involving Evans and 5 of his Gang members who participated in Mr. Dunu’s kidnapping.

The remaining 13 cases that has to do with 13 more Victims and other gang members not yet arraigned will come up on dates to be determined by the High courts and Federal High Courts in Lagos and Edo States.
