Killing of Soldiers: Army invade Bayelsa community, scores killed

Igbomotoru 1 and 2 communities in Sou thern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was invaded by the Military in search of the hoodlums responsible for the killing of 17 soldiers in Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Our correspondent, gathered that, the number of youths from the community who tried to resist the troops deployed in the area under surveillance were reportedly killed by the troops.

It was also gathered that the stern looking armed soldiers with gunboat stationed at the jetty of the communities condoned off the area preventing entrance and exit from the community.

According to a source from the community, who pleaded anonymous said that, the invasion, is not connected to the last week killings of military personnel on peace- keeping mission in two Delta communities.

The source, said “Since the deployment of the Military to our communities we have been living in fear, those of us who have engagements outside our communities can’t go out. We can’t even sleep at night due to fear. We don’t know the next action by the Military, most of our mothers who trade can’t do that as it stands now, we are really living in fears. Already Igbomotoru 2 is attacked, homes are destroyed, no joy again.
