It was moments of excitement at Kingdom Heritage Model School (KHMS), Umuahia, Abia State, as they had their graduation and prize-giving ceremony to thank God for a glorious end of the 2022/2023 academic year.
Pupils gaily dressed, turned out in the fun-filled event with their parents, teachers and well-wishers in the city of Umuahia, to appreciate hardwork, excellence, commitment, good behaviours and specific achievements of pupils as well as to reward their efforts accordingly.
Speaking at the event, the State Pastor, Living Faith Church, State Headquarters, Umuahia, Abia State, Pst. Chris Osiberu who congratulated pupils of KHMS Umuahia for their various academic feats, noted that KHMS is a Christian school, geared towards raising pupils with a testimony of academic excellence and spiritual prowess.
Represented by the Assistant Resident Pastor, Living Faith Church, Umuhia, Pst Linus Alihme, the clergy further disclosed that KHMS across the nation boast of spirit-filled professional men and women of proven integrity and outstanding administrative and technical capabilities.
He further commended the Head Teacher, Mr. Umekwe Constance Uche and other staff of the school for their diligence and commitment towards upholding excellence in teaching and learning for which the commission (Winners’ Chapel Worldwide) is known for.
In his words: “KHMS is a city of teaching and learning, built by God to discover each child, nurture their latent abilities to become not only productive and fulfilled citizens, but to be pace-setters in all areas of life.
Earlier in his remark, the Chairman on the occasion, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onyebuchi, thanked God and the founder, Living Faith Church Worldwide for the establishment of KHMS worldwide, adding that the school has lived up to their billings in molding children with godly characters over the years.
He also lauded the Head Teacher, Ms Umekwe for showing leadership and capacity, maintaining that her administrative ingenuity in management of human and material resources has placed KHMS Umuahia at an enviable height among comity of schools in Abia State, South-East and Nigeria at large.
Mr. Ogbonnaya who further thanked parents for their confidence reposed in the school to take care of their children, promised that they would never regret doing so.
In her remark, the Head teacher, KHMS, Umuahia, Mr. Umekwe Constance Uche, congratulated 2022/2023 pupils and graduands who distinguished themselves in various areas, urging them to remain focused and connected to God for more resounding success in life.
She described the 2022/2023 graduands as light bearers with solutions to a dark and depraved world, admonishing them to keep blazing the trail through diligence wherever they find themselves.
Umekwe who further lauded all stakeholders for their contributions in modeling the pupils, promised that they would not relent in their efforts of raising exemplary children.
Meanwhile, the Chiarman, Local School Board (LCB), Deacon Otu U. Otu has reiterated the school board resolve to continuously guide the school to academic excellence.
Represented by the Vice-Chairman, LSB and the Chairman, Parent Teachers Forum (PTF), Dr. Uchenna Martins, he further disclosed that parents have expressed commitment in providing some facilities in the school, stating that the school would continue to sustain the gains made so far.

Highlights of the event were giving of awards to outstanding pupils, cultural display, recitations, drama among others.
