Kalu promises constituents fair representation

The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Chikwendu Kalu has assured the people of his constituency of fair representation and quality democracy dividends as long as he remains in politics.

Hon. Kalu who made the mark at Okpuikeoha, Eziama-Obuba Community in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, while commissioning an Electricity project in the area said he was touched by the plight of the people who had been in darkness for three years.

The Speaker noted that it is the primary responsibility of any public office holder to impact on the lives of the people that elected them adding that they deserve good representation.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister of the benefitting Community, Chief chukwuemeka Mark Okeiri on behalf of his people had stated the people had suffered darkness for three years since some miscreant elements stole amord cables and vandalized the electricity accessories in the area.

He described the Speaker as Godsent to the people of Okpuikeoha and assured him of their total support in the general polls.

Also Speaking, a woman Leader in the community, Lady Gloria Joseph, expressed gratitude for the kind gesture of the Speaker to them noting that all the politicians whom they appealed to for succour failed them stating that it is only Hon. Kalu that turned to their rescue.
