The Commissioner for Information and Strategy,Hon John Okiyi kalu, has congratulated the newly emerged Vice Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture,Umudike, (MOUAU),Prof Offor Iwe, describing his emergence as a plus to the state.
Hon Kalu who disclosed this to newsmen in his office, said the leadership of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is a leadership per excellence, having an Abian take over as a V.C position of the MOUAU,after a long time.
The Information boss, while eulogizing the new MOUAU VC,urged him to take the Institution to the next level,by diving into developmental activities.
He urged him to be fair to everyone in the school community,as well as carry everyone along in his administration, adding that the development of the school, should be his priority.
Hon Kalu, however,wished him a successful tenure as a Vice Chancellor.
Yesterday, history was made as an illustrious son of Amuda,Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia state, defeated other nominees to become the 6th Vice Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture,to lead the governing council of the institution for another five years.
