Join hands with my administration to build the new Abia State, Gov. Otti tasks NYSC corps members

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has urged NYSC corps members not to seek for relocation but rather join hands with his administration to build the new Abia State.

Delivering a speech at the opening and swearing in ceremony of the 2024 batch C stream II corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Umunna, Bende L G.A, of the state, Gov. Otti who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, pointed out that in the New Abia, a sense of responsibility takes prominence over an entitlement mentality.

He urged them to receive all instructions and trainings that will be coming their way very seriously, with open mind and with the willingness to acquire new knowledge that will help them contribute meaningfully to the development of Abia state, as they commence their orientation course shortly after the swearing in ceremony.

“As Corps Members deployed to the state, you are now part and parcel of the youth population in Abia. We shall treat you with the same genuine affection that won us the admiration of our people.
While the state will be very accommodating all through your service year, we expect you to reciprocate our gesture of kindness by offering your best, serving with the fullest of your energy and the best of your skills”.
