JOHESU Abia State Council, Expressses Dismay Over Govt’s Inability To Keep To Her Terms of Agreement

The Joint Health Sector Union of Nigeria (JOHESU),Abia state council, has expressed dismay over the inability of Abia state government to keep to the terms of Agreement entered with the union.

This is coming  after the union had an  emergency exco meeting in Umuahia, where it registered with dismay the level of disappointment on the part of the government in keeping to her terms of agreement entered with JOHESU on 13th January 2021. The council further made the following resolves:

1) That JOHESU Abia state will engage the government by Thursday 25th Feb 2021.

2) If the meeting did not yield any positive result, the council shall inevitably invoke paragraph7 of the agreement reached with Abia state government.

3) In view of this, the branch leaders of JOHESU affiliate unions are placed on red alert to receive the directive of the state council, hence this release serves as notice.

Finally, we urge our members to be calm and be assured that the state leadership of JOHESU is very much conscious of the steps it is taking and all hinges on the interest of our members absolutely.
