Isialangwa North,Umuahia South Pledge Total Support To PDP

 

Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party in Isialangwa North and Umuahia South Local Government Areas of Abia State, have pledged their undying support for the party, saying come 2023,PDP would record 100% victory.

Speaking when the stakeholders from Isialangwa North received the State Chairman of the PDP, Rt.Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere and his executive on a one day sensitization/familiarization tour to the area, the member representing the Isialangwa North State Constituency,Hon Ginger Onwusibe,the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Prince Christopher Enweremadu,his Works Counter part,Elder Bob Ogu,the General Manager of ABSAA, Chief Tony Otuonye,Chief Ncheta Omerekpe,Chief Uzoma Ihuka,Chief Chinenye Nwogu,the PDP LGA chairman, Elder Sam Ezindu,among others, promised on their firm root in PDP, by delivering their votes to ensure the party wins forth coming elections.

They added that they would reciprocate the good gesture of the state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to the area by making PDP record a landslide victory come 2023.

In his welcome address,the chairman of Isialangwa North LGA,Hon Chinwendu Ochulor, while welcoming the PDP family to his area,said that he has carried out several projects bordering around the needs of the people, such as grading of rural roads, rehabilitation of office block at the council headquarters and beefing up of security to support and compliment the good governance of the Governor, pledging their support to the big party in Africa.

Similarly, at the Umuahia South LGA, an Elder statesman and PDP Chieftain, Chief Tony Ukasanya,disclosed firmly that no other party exist in Umuahia South other than the PDP, adding that the area has produced notable politicians, bringing about productive governance in the area, adding that the area would continue to work in strength to support the government.

In his remarks,the Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike,expressed his commitment to the party,stating that his representation is being felt in all nooks and crannies of Umuahia South.He said he has built 6 houses for widows, built 3 classroom blocks, distributed over 165 deep freezers,36 generating sets and given out 3 SUV jeeps,as well as Sienna cars for empowerment.

He said he has also sponsored football competition and given out scholarships to people of the area.

Other Stakeholders who spoke included the Abia Central PDP zonal chairman, Mr Chukwudi Ezebuiro, former member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency,Hon Oluchi Ibeji, Pastor Emeka Enyiama, Architect Benson Ezem, disclosed that Umuahia South is PDP and will always remain so, pledging that the party would recover every lost territory come 2023.

Earlier, the Executive chairman of the Local Government, Engr Humphrey Benson, assured the PDP that the Local Government would deliver 100% of the votes cast in the forth coming elections, while commending the visionary leadership of the chairman,for working assiduously to maintain harmony within the party through consensus building.

Meanwhile,he relayed some of his achievements as, construction of central drainage system at Ekudi oil market/Umuopara, renovation of Legislative complex, grading of rural roads in Umuopara,Ubakala and Olokoro, renovation and furnishing of Umuahia South Executive Chambers, among others.

Responding, the State PDP chairman,Rt.Hon Asiforo Okere, commended the people of Isialangwa North and Umuahia South for their enthusiasm in giving the party a rousing welcome, urging them not to relent in their support for the party, stating the need for Umuahia South to come together and recover the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal House seat that is with the opposition, assuring them of the party’s support.
