Isiala Ngwa South gives nod to Ikpeazu’s second term bid

The People of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State has unanimously endorsed Gov. Ikpeazu for a second term in the forthcoming election, explaining that the Governor deserves another term to consolidate on his works for Abians.
The people expressed their support when the wife of the Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, led Abia PDP women in a campaign to mobilise the women in the area to cast their vote for the party.
The Governor’s wife said that contrary to rumours making round that Isiala Ngwa would cast their vote for another party, rather the reverse is the case.
According to her, “the crowd I have seen here today really proves mischief makers wrong and affirmed our confidence that the people of Isiala Ngwa is in support of the Governor and PDP.
Speaking, a woman leader and PDP stakeholder, Lady Gold Nwannunu assured the Governor’s wife that they have done the needful through sensitization and the people of Isiala Ngwa are ready to vote for Ikpeazu and other PDP candidates from the area.
In their speeches, Abia State House Speaker, Mr. Chinwendu Kalu, wife of former Abia Governor, Mrs. Odochi Orji, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Chris Nwagboso, all expressed their joy over the support the party is getting from the area charging them to translate their support into voting for all the party candidates.
Meanwhile in a related development the Governor’s wife in collaboration with Abia Community and Social Development Project earlier commissioned a market stall with a reticulated bore hole at Afor osukwu, Owerri Nta, and a class room block also with a reticulated water supply at Saint Ephraim Secondary school, all in Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
She also empowered about 40 indigent women with foodstuffs and other items to start their own businesses to augment for the family economic wellbeing.
However, The programme manager Abia CSDP, Dr. Chinatu Njoku said that Abia government provides the platform in a way that every community in the state would become a beneficiary adding that CSDP as an agency do not have money.
According to him, “the much we have been using to provide these projects come from the Governor, so if we want to continue with these dividends of democracy let us re-elect the Governor and his party PDP.
