An Abia-born technocrat, Dr. Kasarachi Enyinna, has lauded the Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu for his sponsorship of South East Development Commission (SEDC) Bill that has been signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently.
Interacting with newsmen today in Umuahia, Enyinna described Rt. Hon. Kalu as a visionary leader, maintaining that the Federal Lawmaker is committed towards the development of South-East region.
The investment banker also applauded President Tinubu for giving assent to the bill, expressing hope that it would douse the agitation tension in the South-Eastern Nigeria.
According to Enyinna, the assent to this bill also demonstrates Tinubu administration’s dedication to addressing the region’s infrastructure deficits and promoting economic growth.
In his words: “The SEDC will play a crucial role in rebuilding and restoring the region, bringing healing and closure to the people”.
He added that the bill would address the underlying issues of poverty, unemployment, and infrastructure decay, and help to reduce tensions and conflicts, creating an environment conducive to peace and stability.
