The General Manager of Inspiration 105.9 FM, Uyo, Reverend Silas Ufot, has expressed confidence that God’s glory will be manifested at the forthcoming Christmas Family Praise Jam in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
According to him, such divine visitation would help lift the challenges confronting the state and its people.
Reverend Ufot made this known while addressing journalists at a press briefing held over the weekend at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat, Uyo, ahead of the concert scheduled for December 26 at Discovery Park.
He noted that praise remains a powerful spiritual tool, stressing that where prayers may not reach, praise can, and urged the public to embrace praising God despite life’s difficulties.
“I believe that the most potent way to move God and bring down His glory is through praise. When David did that, he overcame many of his challenges. If you can open your heart and praise God, there will be a total turnaround in all you do,” he said.
He added that the event is also intended to seek divine intervention for the nation and the state.
“So we expect God to visit our nation, Nigeria, our state, Akwa Ibom, and help the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to effectively interpret and implement his ARISE Agenda. We expect Him to come through for us in all our endeavours as we praise Him,” he stated.
Emphasising further on the importance of praise, Reverend Ufot recalled how a caller once shared a testimony during a live radio programme, explaining how listening to the soul-lifting song Amazing Grace helped him abandon a suicide attempt.
He therefore called on the weary, the heavy-hearted, and the general public to attend the Praise Jam with faith and high expectations that God would intervene in their situations.
He also disclosed that Christian comedians such as General Odey and Sir James would perform at the event, alongside several gospel music artists, to add colour and inspiration to the celebration.
Meanwhile, the gospel artists who spoke at the briefing expressed optimism that the Praise Jam would have a positive spiritual impact on individuals and communities across the state.
