Insecurity: Cleric Advises Christians To Always Pray For Their Families

As security trends worsen in Nigeria,  christians have been advised to pray for their family members at all times, so that God can build a wall of protection round about them, especially at this critical time.

In his message, titled “Understanding The Wonders of Thanksgiving”, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Umuahia, Abia state,Pastor Nwagu Okenwa, said with thanksgiving, christians can draw protection from God, adding that christians should use thanksgiving and praise to weather the storm of insecurity and other challenges confronting the nation and state.

According to Pastor Okenwa, the children of Judah in 2 Chronicles 20:22, overcame their enemies by simply offering sincere thanksgiving and praises to God, stressing that as they sang praises, God laid ambushment against their enemies.

Stating reasons christians should always give thanks to God, the cleric said thanksgiving is a way of appreciating God for His mercies and for rendering our enemies helpless, adding that thanksgiving shows one’s gratitude to God.

The state pastor revealed that the benefits of thanksgiving are enormous, adding that through thanksgiving, one’s blessings could be multiplied.

He disclosed that thanksgiving engenders access to divine presence, as well as help build a wall of fire around us.

The cleric stated that the only way to secure God’s protection at this period of security challenges, is to thank God for His protection over the years, stressing that whatever you thank God for, has the ability to multiply.

Pastor Okenwa, however, admonished Christians to plead for the mercies of God upon their families, pray for their salvation, as well as their protection from the siege of evil, diseases and untimely death, stating that christians should also engage the blood of Jesus for the rescue of their family members from evil.

The Service which doubles as the “Covenant Family Day”, featured special prayers for families, for God to protect everyone at this time of insecurity challenges, kidnappings and killings
