Independence: Let’s Keep Hope Alive – LP House Of Assembly Candidate, Osita Okoh Urges Enugu Residents

ENUGU–The Labour Party (LP) House of Assembly candidate for Enugu East Urban Constituency, Hon. Osita Okoh, has called on ndi Enugu to remain hopeful despite poverty, corruption and insecurity ravaging the country.

Okoh stated this in an Independence Day message he issued to newsmen in Enugu on Sunday.

According to him, “we have come a long way as a nation despite the challenges being experienced, we will overcome them as a nation.”

He, therefore, urged residents to get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and ensure they voted for candidates with competence, credibility, and proven track record of excellence come 2023.

He urged Enugu residents to have hope in the country, adding that the wind of change blowing across the country indicated that Nigerians were tired of bad governance and misrule.

Okoh, however, congratulated Nigerians on the 62nd Independence anniversary saying:  “I wish to celebrate our dear country, Nigeria, on her 62nd Independence Day.”

Hon. Osita Okoh, who hails from Onyoho Nike Community in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, was a 2 time Chairman, Onyoho Nike Board of Trustees/holders of powers of attorney from 2014 to 2018 and 2018 to 2022 before he handed over last week September, 24 2022.

He equally served as Executive Assistant (EA) to former Sullivan Chime, former governor of Enugu State between 2014 to 2015.

He was Executive Assistant (EA) to the incumbent Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi from 2015 to 2019.

The Labour Party chieftain said at this point in time as the nation clocked 62, there was need for unity, peaceful coexistence and harmony even as the country approaches a crucial electioneering season.
