Ikwuano people reiterate support for Ikpeazu’s re-election

The People of Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State have said they are solidly behind the re-election of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and other PDP candidates in this year elections.

The people made their feelings known when the campaign trail of the Peoples Democratic Party’s women wing led by the wife of Abia Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu visited the area.

Addressing the women at Isiala Oboro, Ikwuano, Mrs. Ikpeazu said that she has seen the devotion and support of the people of Ikwuano for PDP to win convincingly in all elective positions it is vying for.
According to her, “what we want is good governance, the one that carries women and the youths along and Governor Ikpeazu is doing that for us”.

Also speaking, the wife of Abia former Gov. Mrs. Odochi Orji said that that she is glad to witness this mammoth crowd of women from Ikwuano supporting PDP.

She however took time to explain to the women how to vote correctly to avoid void votes.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ugoeze Kate Onyemachi, immediate past Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Mrs. Ngozi Orji, Former Commissioner in the Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, Chief Uche Mpamah and other PDP stakeholders in the area unanimously agreed that the people of the area would vote for PDP because the government of Abia State led by Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has led solid foundation for people oriented governance.
