Ikwechegh gives Reasons for Sponsoring Road Reconstruction in Abia

 

A Business Mogul,chief Alex Ikwechegh,has given reasons for joining the Abia state government,in delivering on massive road reconstruction in the state.

Addressing the press at the just concluded Abia Social Media Converge,held in Umuahia,Abia state,the former chairman of Aba North Local Government Council,Chief Alex Ikwechegh, said he decided to complement the unwavering efforts of the Governor of the State,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who has been consistent in delivering the dividend of democracy to the people of the state, especially on the area of infrastructural development.

According to the founder of Alex Ikwechegh foundation,Gov Ikpeazu has excellently engaged his administration in massive road construction and rehabilitation,most especially in Aba,the commercial hub centre of the state, adding that he decided to further  sponsor the reconstruction of some roads in Abia,as a way of adding value and improving on the developmental strides of the governor.

Ikwechegh disclosed that since he kick started the rehabilitation of roads in the state,he has done over 25 roads in Aba South, Ugwunagbo, Umuahia and Bende LGAs, noting that soonest,the reconstruction work will be extended to Isuikwuato, Isialangwa North and Isialangwa South Local Government Areas.

The business mogul, however, revealed the reason behind the delay in the completion of the projects, attributing the breakdown of some of their equipments  to it.

On the area of empowerment,Chief Ikwechegh disclosed that he has engaged and empowered the youths of the state meaningfully, donated petroleum products to transporters in the state during the yuletide and he is ready to support sporting activities in the state.

He added that during covid 19 lockdown,he distributed 10,000 bags of rice, 4,000 cartons of indomie Noodles and also gave out cash support of N10,000 each to 300 indigent widows in the state.

Chief Ikwechegh, however, promised that his foundation would continue to support the Abia government in every possible way, especially on the area of development.
