The People of Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia have joined other local councils in Abia State to endorse Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term in office come this year elections.
The Governor’s wife who led the Peoples Democratic Party women wing to a campaign in the area said that she has seen with her own eyes the support of the people the area to re-elect Ikpeazu and also confident that PDP will win massively in Osisioma Ngwa LGA.
She appealed to the youths to eschew violence by all means adding that the Governor Ikpeazu will surely look into their plight.
In his remarks, the house member representing Osisioma Ngwa North state constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Bishop Kennedy Njoku said that it was unfair to go against equity, therefore the people of Osisioma Ngwa was prepared to cast their vote for the re-election of Gov Ikpeazu and PDP.
However, a Commissioner in the Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, Mrs. Kate Enwereji, the head of service, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Mrs. Fortune Nwangaga said that they were grateful to receive the wife of Abia Governor and assured her that PDP would win convincingly in the area.
Also the wife of the former Governor of Abia, Mrs. Odochi Orji who accompanied the Governor’s wife and also to campaign for Senator Theodore Orji received a rousing welcome in assurance that the people of Osisioma Ngwa are solidly behind them.
Earlier, the Governor’s wife commissioned a market stall with reticulated water supply, health centre, assisted by Abia State Community and Social Development, 3 blocks of classroom built by Abia State Universal Basic Education in Umuawa community, while a shopping plaza and skills acquisition centre was commissioned in Umuobasi community all in Osisioma Ngwa LGA.
