Ikpeazu,deputy and 24 house members elect recieve INEC certificate of return.

Incumbent Governor and governor elect of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu alongside his Deputy, Udo Oko Chukwu have been issued certificates of return  by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Commissioner,Prof. Okechukwu Ibeanu.
Also issued with certificates of return at the INEC state headquarters were the twenty four (24) members elect of the state House of Assembly.
Prof Ibeanu,in his remarks at the occasion congratulated those who won at the 2019 elections, and charged them to see their victory as a trust from God,delivered through the people.
He further urged them to bear in mind the purpose of serving the people and not disappoint the confidence reposed in them noting that the issues concerning Abians should be of paramount importance to them.
Ibeanu while stressing the need for politicians to develop a culture of post election healing urged those who emerged victorious to be magnanimous in victory as well as ensure that at the end,they write their names in gold through service to humanity.
Speaking after receiving his certificate of return, Governor Ikpeazu while thanking Abians for the privilege to serve them again in the next four years,reaffirm his commitment to serve the people adding that his administration will focus on rapid infrastructural development, with a view to providing job opportunities for the teeming youths.
According to Governor Ikpeazu,”the next four years is going to witness rapid and fast tracking of infrastructural development in all areas,focusing on the key pillars of education, industrialization, promotion of commerce and industry as well as agriculture.
”The main objective will be to promote and provide jobs for our teeming youths and God helping us,we will surely arrive there with the help of everybody”.
Ikpeazu who extended an olive branch to those who lost in the elections, urged them to join hands with his government to create a platform for all to participate in building a new Abia for the benefit of all.
Earlier in his remarks, the Abia state resident electoral commissioner,Prof. Joseph Iloh,appreciated Abians for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during and after the elections and thanked all critical stakeholders for their active support in making the elections successful.
Iloh,while congratulating Governor Ikpeazu, his deputy and all elected members of the State House of Assembly,appealed to them to address the need of the populace especially critical infrastructural deficiency.
