Ikpeazu Task NGO Board To End Discrimination Against The Girl Child

WIFE OF ABIA STATE GOVERNOR MRS NKECHI IKPEAZU

Protect the Precious Foundation, a non governmental organization, on Friday 4 March, 2022, inaugurates its Board of Trustees.

Inaugurating the Board, the Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, tasked memebers of the board to initiate policies that will change the narrative in the way society has negate the girl child to the background.

She further engaged the board to stay focused on the vision, mission and objectives of the organization while structuring it to become a standard for other organizations.

The Governor’s wife who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Lady Vivian Ude Okochukwu, described the Board as carefully selected and expressed confidence that they will deliver on the task ahead.

The five Board Members are Chief Mrs. Nnenna Obewu Onwuka, Mr. Michael Ibe Nwoke, and Mr. Enyinnaya Appolos.

Others are Mrs. Onyinye Eziallor and Mr. Obed Nnaji Asiegbu.

Protect the Precious Foundation is a Girl Child advocacy group with the vision to uphold, defend and protect the integrity of the girl child, and seek ways of bringing an end to the plight of the girl child in our society.

While its objectives is to promoting the girl child’s bodily integrity and seek ways to eradicate  all forms of discrimination, encourage the relationship between parents/guardians and the girl child, find ways of reducing the menace of the girl child and to reintegrate the abused back into the society through psychological, legal and emotional backup.
