Ikpeazu Marks Birthday With Fanfare

Staff of the Office of the Wife of Abia State Governor have organised a surprise party to mark this year birthday of the state first lady Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu.

The idea accordingly to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation, Mrs. Beauty Odikwa, is to celebrate the Governor’s wife as a vessel which God has used to touch the lives of the down trodden in the society.

At the red carpet moments parts of what Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has achieved as the first lady of the state was revealed to the admiration of all.

Speaking with National Ambassador at the event, the State Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wama, said that he lacks words to describe the person of the wife of Abia Governor because she is a woman with the heart of gold without mindful of her status allowed everyone who want to see her access to her.

While the Former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor’s wife and now Permanent Secretary Bureau of Common Services, Eze Ajuzie, said that her humility and passion to solve peoples problems and care for the needy was second to none, the Wife of Abia Deputy Governor, Lady Vivian Oko Chukwu states that she is a woman with uncommon humour.

According to her, “as my boss in the state her humility, passion to reach out to others is what endeared me to her and that humility and passion she has translated to the service she rendered to the down trodden in the area of paying hospital bills, building houses for indigent Abians, empowering women and the youths and also championing the fight to end sickle cell disease without prejudice”.

Others who poured encomiums on the Abia First Lady were the Programme Manager, Abia Primary School Lunch Programme, Elder Emeka Ahuruonye, Vice President, Vicar Hope Foundation, Dr. Edith Nwosu, Aba North Local Government Transitional Chairman, Barrister Charles Esonu, and numerous others.

Earlier, the Governor’s wife said that she never expected this kind of elaborate celebration adding that she was overwhelmed by the love and passion people had shown her.

She uses the occasion of the birthday to reach out to various orphanage institutions in the State to provide them with foodstuffs, sanitary items, wrappers and other items with monies.
