Ikpeazu Joins Buhari, Zulum, Others To Attend UN Summit In New York

 

 

The Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Friday, joined President Mohammadu Buhari, Governor Zulum of Borno State, and other top dignitaries to participate in a high level event organized on the margins of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.

 

Governor Ikpeazu who participated in the event on the invitation of the Presidency was accomplished to the event by a US based Abian and former President of the Abia State National Association of North America, Dr. Chris Ike as well as Federal Ministers for Finance and Labor, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals among others.

 

The event held at the Millennium Hilton, One United Nations Plaza, New York, USA, was organized by the Government of Nigeria, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the European Union.

The event is part of Nigeria’s commitment to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development through the implementation of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF).

 

Nigeria has successfully designed its Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) with the oversight and overall guidance of INFF Steering Committee and ethical guidance of key stakeholders in the Nigeria INFF Core Working Group.

 

High point of the event was the formal launch of the of the Report which showcases the progress Nigeria has made on the INFF process as a policy tool for strengthening financing for development.
