Ikpeazu Congratulates Sen Orji @78

 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated the Senator Representing Abia Central Senatorial District and immediate past Governor of Abia State, Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji on the occasion of his birthday.

 

Governor Ikpeazu in a press statement made available to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka described Senator Orji as a distinguished Nigerian statesman and political leader of note whose record of service from his days in the Civil Service remain chronicles of dedication and excellent service.

 

The Governor appreciated God on behalf of Sen Orji who he said has remained strong, healthy and alert to his duties especially intervening in critical issues that affect the country and Abia state, both as a serving Senator and as a former Governor of the State.

He noted particularly that Sen Orji’s 78th Birthday would be his last in active political service, pointing out that the Senator voluntarily chose to retire from politics upon the conclusion of his current tenure at the Senate. A move, which he said has cemented the place of Sen Orji in the hall of fame of outstanding political leaders.

 

The Governor, on behalf of the Government and People of Abia State, wished Senator Orji a beautiful birthday and prayed the Almighty God to continue to grant him many more years of service to humanity.
