The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has congratulated the leadership of Asa Nnentu Motor Spare Parts, Aba, for the transformation that is ongoing in the market.
The Governor’s wife made the congratulations when the executives of the market paid her a courtesy visit in her Government House office in Umuahia, recently.
She expressed her joy for the progress made so far in developing the market and charged the traders to take responsibility as they do their businesses to also keep the environment clean for healthy living.
According to her, “the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is doing everything possible to boost trade and investment to grow the economy of the State and at the same time attracts investments to divest the economy from federal government allocation and oil dependence”.
” I also appreciate the gifts you brought to support our forthcoming Abia Women’s August Delegates Conference, it would go a long way to impact lives and improve on what we want to achieve with the conference”. The Governor’s wife said.
Earlier, the leader of the traders association, Mr. Hyacinth Mbakwe, stated that Asa Nnentu Motor Spare Parts Market Leadership was before now shrouded with controversy and unaccountable to the people but has changed for better since the inception of the new executives of the market.
According to him, “before now there is no accountability, that is the reason this sect of executives is seeking the support of the government to build on a transparency that will help develop the market and at the same time contribute immensely to the economic growth of the state”.
