Ikpeazu condoles with Okey’s family who losses wife after given birth to triplets

The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has condoled with Mr. Okey Friday, whose wife after given birth to triplets lost her life.

Mrs. Ikpeazu who visited the babies and their families at Shalom Clinic and Maternity, in Umuafor, Aba said that she got the news over the radio and from her aids and decided to come and commiserate with them.

The Governor’s wife said it is pathetic at what seemed to be good news to us came with pain and loss of life and advised the family not to give up hope over what happened but trust God for He alone knows the best.

According to her, “we came here to show solidarity and to offer whatever help we can because what happened to one happens to us all”.

However, the Governor’s wife donates to the deceased man babies items, sanitary items and money to care for the triplets and assured the family that the state government led by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will not abandon them.

Receiving the items, the father of the triplets, Mr. Okey Friday, a trader from Ndi Olumbe in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia state said that the pain is much on him and did not know what to do at the moment but thanked the Governor’s wife for her support at this time.

Meanwhile, the Doctor in charge of Shalom Clinic and Maternity, Aba, Dr. Umu Sumi said that the woman delivered the triplets safely and the babies are still active but whatever led to the death is still a puzzle to us.
