Ikpeazu Commissions 7.2 Abiriba/Etitiama Nkporo Road

 

 

 

As part of the Abia state government’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of the people and boosting rural development,

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has inaugurated the 7.2km Abiriba/Etitiama-Nkporo road.

 

 

Speaking while performing the event in Nkporo, Friday, the Governor described the Abiriba/Etitiama-Nkporo road as a strategic tool that would enhance socio-economic activities in the area.

 

 

He expressed hope that the construction of the Abiriba/Etitiama-Nkporo road would boost productivity in the area and called for the continued support of the people of Nkporo community in the promotion and realisation of the state government’s development agenda.

In his remark, Chief Ude Oko-Chukwu, the Deputy Governor of Abia, thanked the state government and expressed gratitude to God for the construction of the road.

 

 

Oko-Chukwu said that the construction of the road has broken a life-long jinx as the road has remained a reproach to them.

 

 

 

Sir Okochukwu said that Governor Ikpeazu has through the demonstration of his love and magnanimity to the people of the area, taken away the reproach, adding that the PDP government has in many ways favoured the people of Nkporo and Ohafia LGA at large.

He thanked the Governor for the magnitude and show of love promising that his people will reciprocate the gesture by casting their votes for the PDP in the December 18th local government election.

 

 

 

Earlier, Mr Bob Ogu, the Commissioner for Works, described the road as one of the best roads built by the state government.

 

 

Ogu said that “there has been a lot of attempts to build the Abriba/Etitiama-Nkporo road in the past, but today it has been realised.”
