The wife of Abia Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has built 3, blocks of 2, bedroom flat bungalow for Mrs. Akudo Ikeokwu, 2, bedroom bungalow for Mrs. Beatrice Dick, and 4, bedroom bungalow for Mrs. Akuoma Nkemdirim and Mr. Chibuzo Williams, all at Umuihi, village in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State.
At the commissioning, the Governor’s wife said that it is her wish that all indigent Abians are provided with affordable home and pleads with those who have not gotten to exercise patient adding that the government of Abia state led by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, places premium on affordable home for all Abians.
In his speech, the Chairman, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Comrade Ike Anyataonwu, said that it is a wonderful thing that the wife of the Governor is commissioning 3, blocks of bungalow built for 4, people in the same compound by herself, we are really happy about this.
According to him, our joy know no bound for what our dear first lady has been doing through her pet project, at least many have been trained in skills acquisition, others have been given job and scholarships so we commend the complementing efforts of Her Excellency to the Governor of Abia state ” He said.
However, one of the beneficiaries who spoke with National Ambassador, Mrs. Akudo Ikeokwu, said that today she is witnessing firsthand the realities of what the wife of the Governor has been doing and I am happier that I am a beneficiary.
