Ikpeazu Commences Senatorial Campaign *Promises Democracy Dividends To Constituents

 

 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Tuesday commenced campaign for his senatorial bid with a promise to ensure that infrastructural development would be evenly distributed in Abia South Senatorial District if elected.
Speaking during the event at the Community Primary School, Akwete,Ukwa East LGA, Ikpeazu who also visited Ukwa West LGA to canvass support from the people, said that his emergence as senator would give constituents of Abia South Senatorial District the opportunity to enjoy quality representation.

 

The Governor urged the constituents to support Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and vote for PDP candidates to ensure victory for the party  during the general elections.
He said that PDP had strategically selected its candidates to ensure that the party presents individuals with capacity to the electorate.

 

Ikpeazu said that if elected, he would work toward the achievement of even spread of infrastructural development in Abia South Senatorial District.

 

“I am a man of conscience and I would continue to work for the people of Abia until May 29 to deliver the mandate given to me as governor”, he added
In his remarks, the state Chairman of PDP, Chief Asiforo Okere, said that the party was fielding candidates that had the capacity to deliver good governance and quality representation.
Okere commended the governor for the role he played in facilitating increased human capital development in the area and urged the electorate to vote in support of his senatorial bid.

 

Also, the PDP candidate for Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency, Chief Chris Nkwonta, expressed readiness to work in synergy with other PDP candidates to improve the welfare of the people and called on people in the area to support PDP candidates to emerge victorious at the polls.

Earlier, the Chairman of PDP in Ukwa East Local Government Area(LGA),Chief Okechi Nwogu,  described the governor as an astute politician that has capacity to deliver quality representation and assured all PDP candidates of the support of the people of Ukwa East LGA during the upcoming general election.
