Wife of Abia Governor(C) WIth Wives of Abia Permanent Secretaries During the Visit
Wives of Permanent Secretaries in Abia State have paid a courtesy visit to the Wife of Abia Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu.
The visit was in her country home, Umuobiakwa in Obingwa Local Government Area of the state.
Part of the visit they say is to familiarise with the First Lady and to share ideas in areas where they can help or contribute to what she already had been doing for the state especially women and the girl child.
Leader of the group and wife of Abia Head of Service, Mrs. Ada Wamah, said that they came to show solidarity on the good work the Governor’s wife has been doing for indigent Abians especially in the area of shelter, youth empowerment, advocacy to end sickle cell disease and gender based violence.
Addressing the association, the Governor’s wife expressed her joy and added that now is not the time for women to be redundant.
She called for collaboration with the women to work as a theme in other to improve the living condition of indigent Abians especially those in the rural areas.
