Hon. Uzosike wins tribunal case

The member-elect to represent Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Jerry Uzosike, has expressed joy over the petition of Chief Mrs Phina Ihuoma Kanu, which was struck out by the Election Petition Tribunal sitting today in Umuahia, Abia State.
Interacting with our reporter, Hon. Uzosike, noted that the suit withdrawal by Chief Kanu,has brought relieve to him as he would concentrate in fulfilling his political promises to the people.
“I feel relieved ,I feel that I now have a relaxed mind to serve Umuahia South State House Constituency,as the distraction has been rolled away”,Hon. Uzosike said.
He further said it would have dented his political image completely ,but with the ruling, he is coasting towards fulfilling those promises,which will help to enhance his political image ,as well as give time to deliver dividends of democracy.
Hon. Uzosike also called on the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Alex Otti and Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah,to withdraw their petitions by following the same path of peace and withdraw the matter so that the governor,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, can concentrate in fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.
The APC candidate,who contested Umuahia South State Constituency in the just concluded 2019 polls against Hon. Uzosike,had withdrawn her petition from the Election tribunal sitting in Umuahia.
She cited that peace is of paramount importance to her.
