The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, has informed the people of Arochukwu that his office has contacted the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), over the recent flooding in some part of Obinkita and other identified flood prone areas in Arochukwu, as a result of the rainy season.
The Lawmaker in the statement, explained that officials of SEMA/NEMA are prepared to visit the affected areas to capture the serious effects.
He explained that he share the pains of those who were affected by the recent flood and urge the people to remain calm as efforts are being made for quick intervention to the affected areas.
