The leader of Ohafia Legislative Council and councillor representing Ndi Elu Ward – Nkporo, Ohafia L.G.A, Hon. Chief Ndukwe Oju Uka, has emerged the Public Relations Officer of the Association of Council Leaders of Nigeria, ACLON Abia State chapter.
According to a release made available to newsmen by the Secretary of the association, Hon. Jacob Umere, other leaders who emerged as the principal officers of the association during the election held on February 10, 2021, include: Hon. Prince Oguejiofor Okoli- Chairman; Hon. Richard Uche – Deputy Chairman; Hon. Obinna Iroegbu – Treasurer; Hon. Chidiebere Nwogu – Financial Secretary.
Meanwhile, the leader of Ohafia legislative council, Hon. Ndukwe Oju Uka, has expressed his profound gratitude to God and his people which made him come out victorious in the association’s election.
Reacting immediately after the election, Hon. Uka said, ” I will like to thank my family and friends, All PDP faithfuls from Ndi Elu Ward, all the honourable Councillors of Ohafia LGA, other Party Stakeholders in Ohafia LGA and Abia State, especially the Deputy Governor of Abia State and Leaders of the 17 Local Government Legislative Councils who unanimously voted me as the State PRO of our association.
“Most importantly also, I will want to thank and appreciate our amiable governor,Dr. Okezie Victor Chibuikem Ikpeazu, whom it was in his instance that the opportunities of becoming a Councillor through the conduct of the last Local government election was made manifest”.
The leader of Ohafia legislative council who thanked his people for their support and prayers, prayed God to continue to make His face of countenance shine upon them.
