Hon. Olujie Empowers Widows, Youths, Disabled Persons, Reiterates Commitment Towards The Downtrodden

The National President, Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD), Hon. Chidi Topaz Olujie, has reiterated his commitment towards the welfare of the downtrodden in the society.

Hon. Olujie stated this recently during an empowerment programme organized by Chidi Topaz Olujie Foundation (CTO) Foundation for widows, People Living with Disabilities and Youths in his hometown, Akwete Ndoki Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Abia State.

The founder, CTO Foundation, who commended the Abia governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, for living up to his billings, especially in Human Capital Development, added that the empowerment was to support the good works the Abia governor is doing for Ukwa-East and Abians.

The Vice President, West African Deaf Initiative, who empowered over 10 Abia youths with N200,000 to each, maintained that the essence was to curb youth restiveness and promote the welfare of artisan/youths among others.

 

He also gave out bags of rice, gallons of vegetable oil, tin tomatoes among others to the indigents and promised continuous support to them especially in this economic hard times.

 

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Ezinwanne Nwachi said: “I am quite elated being part of the youths that received N200,000 in this empowerment program. May God continue to bless Hon. Chidi Topaz Olujie, his foundation and all his endeavours”.

In their separate remarks, the beneficiaries promised to put the items received into good use.

 

The Ukwa-East Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, (PDP),  Hon. Okechi Nwaohu, who commended Hon. Olujie for the gesture, called on other well-meaning Ndoki sons and daughters to emulate him and contribute to the development of Ndoki and Abia State.

 

Traditional rulers, women and youth leaders, among others graced the event.
