The member representing Ohafia North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Mandela Obasi, has congratulated the Speaker of the 7th Assembly, Engr. Chinedum Orji, and the Deputy Speaker, Ifeanyi Uchendu for their emergence for the offices.
Obasi who made this known while interacting with journalists shortly after the inauguration of the 7th House, described their emergence as unanimous decisions and solicited that they should be given utmost support.
While thanking the people of his constituency for reelecting him for the second time, the lawmaker assured them of quality representation with a view to attracting more democracy dividends in agriculture, trade and commerce.
The member representing Ohafia North State Constituency, further stated that his major focus in this dispensation would be in the area of attracting health related projects that will ensure his constituents have access to quality healthcare services.
He hinted that the 7th Assembly will place premium on bills that will promote entrepreneurship and drive small and medium scale enterprises with a view to developing economy of the State.
He advised the executive arm of the government to implement laws regulating multiple taxation on entrepreneurial businesses to encourage local content and indigenous investors.
