Constituents of Oboro Ward 2 in Ikwuano Local Government Area have celebrated their councillor and member of the 7th Ikwuano Legislative Council, Hon. Nkem Ubah Ebilah, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his quality representation and people-oriented leadership.
The celebration, which coincided with his birthday on March 27, saw residents, students, and well-wishers shower praises on the lawmaker for his commitment to grassroots development, particularly in the area of education.
Community members expressed appreciation for his alignment with the education-focused vision of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.
They specifically highlighted his initiative of distributing educational materials, including 5,000 customized exercise books to schools across the ward last year.
To mark this year’s birthday, Hon. Ebilah further demonstrated his commitment by distributing an additional 10,000 exercise books to students in the area a gesture widely described as timely and impactful.
Students also lauded the councillor for his intervention in the payment of Students’ Union Government (SUG) fees for between 350 and 400 new and returning students.
According to beneficiaries, the support enabled them to complete their clearance processes and register for courses ahead of upcoming examinations.
Describing him as a responsive and compassionate leader, constituents praised his consistency in addressing the needs of the people, especially in the education sector.
They also offered prayers for his continued good health, wisdom, and success in his political journey, expressing hope for sustained dividends of democracy under his representation.
