Highlight Abia State’s Progress, Otti’s CPS Urges Journalists

 

Journalists in Abia State have been urged to accurately represent the state’s progress as they report on local affairs.

 

The newly appointed Chief Press Secretary to Governor Alex Otti, Mr. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha gave the charge during his maiden meeting with members of the Government House Press corps .

Mr. Ukoha emphasized the significant achievements of Governor Otti over the past year, stressing the importance of effectively publicizing the Governor’s accomplishments.

 

He underscored the critical role of the media in promoting good governance, as exemplified by Governor Otti’s administration, and called for a collaborative relationship between the state government and the media Practitioners.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor while maintaining that it requires synergy to work as a team, pleaded with journalists to work closely with him.

Mr Ukoha encouraged journalists to bring forward innovative ideas to enhance their work, assuring them of his commitment to an open-door policy and his availability to assist them.

 

 

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Director of Information, Government House, Umuahia, Mr. Azubuike Jinanwa, congratulated Mr. Ukoha on his new appointment.

Mr Jinanwa assured the Chief Press Secretary of the media’s continued efforts to publicize the governor’s activities, projects, and programs.

 

He also expressed gratitude to Mr. Ukoha for initiating the meeting and reaffirmed the press corps’ support to ensure his success in office.

 

The meeting, which included a question-and-answer session, was also attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma.
