High Court Judges sworn in,charged to build strong judicial system.

Three New High Court Judges whose nominations were recently approved by the National Judicial Council have been sworn into the Abia State Judicial System. They are:

Benson Anya, Esq , Enyinnaya Okezie, Esq and Ogbonna Adiele, Esq.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu charged them to build a strong judicial system that will complement the efforts of the State Government in socio economic development.

The Governor while congratulating the newly sworn in judges on the milestone, expressed optimism that they will acquit themselves creditably as well as support the judicial system in Abia State and Nigeria in general.

He attributed the success of the state in attracting foreign direct investment to the security and support of the judicial system in ensuring the safety of investors who clamour to do business in the state.

The governor noted that Abia occupies a strategic position in terms of giving Nigeria a window to participate in intra free trade area pointing out that for the state to take it’s rightful position it must have a strong judicial system.

Ikpeazu who noted that the inability of the state government to meet up with it’s obligation was as a result of pausity of funds,expressed belief that with the tactic support of the Judiciary,the state government will do better in terms of IGR to enable it meet up with it’s daily obligation to the people.

Responding on behalf of the newly sworn in judges, Justice Benson Anya while assuring that they will complement the efforts of the Executive arm of government to meet the expectations of the people,assured that they will not compromise Justice.
