Christian mothers have been enjoined to have faith in the word of God and guide against earthly things that would jeopardize their spiritual needs.

In a sermon during the grand finale of the 2024 Zonal Women’s Convention of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM South East Zonal II held at the Southeast Zonal Headquarters, No 2 Uwalaka By Ossah Road Umuahia, Abia State, a guest Minister, Pastor Mrs Chinwe Obi-Nwankwo, also tasked mothers not to worship God in truth and spirit only, but to have intimacy with Him.
Pastor Mrs Obi-Nwankwo who preached on the topic and also the theme of the convention, “Woman of Substance”, with text drawn from the Bible book of Proverbs chapter 31 verses 10 to 31, described a woman of substance as resourceful, productive and committed to her dreams.
The Preacher who urged the women to align themselves with the teachings and will of God for sustenance, encouraged them to be proud of what they carry.
“God want you to live a soft life but human being don’t like soft life but suffering. If you don’t stay around God, you will begin to misbehave, so all you need to do is just hide under God. Woman of Substance is the woman who has distinguished herself. When you do God’s business, God will do your own business. When you hide yourself in God even those things you don’t know you need, God will supply them to you”, Pastor Mrs Obi-Nwankwo, reminded the mothers.

In her address the Convener and Wife of the Zonal Pastor of the Church, Rev. Mrs Mojisola Orgaly, who cited the biblical Sarah, Deborah, Esther, Hannah, Dorcas, Rahab among others who did exploits for the Kingdom of God, reminded mothers that God is looking for women who will choose to stand with Him against the onslaught of the devil.
“God wants to raise women of substance who will lift the banner of our Lord Jesus Christ at the home front, the work place, church, business place and every environment, thus making formidable impact in our world for the Kingdom”, Rev. Mrs Mojisala Orgaly stated.
Mrs Orgaly, who urged mothers to allow God manifest in their lives as a women of substance, thanked God for a successful women convention of the Southeast zone 2.
In a brief remark, Chairperson Convention Planning Committee, Mrs Chinezerem Agbakuru, encouraged mothers to strive to make a positive impact wherever they find themselves and acknowledge God in all they do.
She thanked God for the privilege to witness this year’s Women’s Convention .
The three days Zonal Women’s Convention which started from Friday 5th April ended on Sunday 7th April, 2024, featured free medicals, physical fitness exercise, series of teachings and expositions, choir rendition by the Royal Children and South East Mass Choir of the church, gift presentations, among other side attractions.
