Hard work Key to Civil Service Growth — Abia Head of Service

The Abia State Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, has identified hard work as a critical driver of growth and efficiency in the state’s civil service.

Speaking during an expanded meeting with top management staff in his office, Mr. Ojeikere stressed that the importance of hard work, particularly in capacity building, cannot be overemphasized.

He disclosed that the weekly work plan and self-performance review initiative has now become an official public service reform policy, urging civil servants to embrace it fully. He warned that defaulters would face serious sanctions.

The Head of Service also issued a stern warning against extorting money from individuals for the issuance of GEN 35, stating that anyone caught would face the full weight of the law.
