A Socio-Political Organisation in Akwa Ibom State, E’EKPEDE Initiative, says it has begun the sensitization and mobilization of citizens of Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, who are 18 years and above to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The chairman, Board of Trustees of the group, Kufre Inima while addressing a press conference at the NUJ Press centre in Uyo declared the group’s support for President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Gov. Umo Eno to ensure continuity in 2027.
He said their decision was borne out of massive economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu which has made the state governors have more funds to execute people oriented projects and other strides of the Senate president and governor Umo Eno within two years in office
He, therefore, urged citizens of voting age to ensure they register in the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise to vote these persons in the coming general elections
The statement in parts, “This group is birthed for the sole purpose of promoting, supporting and pushing the aspirations of our President Bola Tinubu, our illustrious son, Sen. Godswill Akpabio and our hardworking and visionary Gov. Umo Eno.
“Our aim is clear, our mission is unmistakable and we are poised to push for the reelection of the above mentioned distinguished Nigerians not out of any ulterior motive and selfish agenda, but returning them in office come 2027 is for the overall interest and development of our nation and state.
“Today, we are lucky to have a president, who understands that if the lives of the people must change positively, the states must be empowered to drive that change.
“This, he has done through his bold policies that have led to more cash in the hands of governors, hence helping them to carry out projects without running to financial institutions cap-in-hand for loans to finance their projects.”
According to him, we have a president that has positively renewed the hopes of Nigerians and is audaciously stirring the country on the path of economic stability and growth.
He called on all Akwa Ibom people and all progressive minded Nigerians to join the group and push for continuity, sustained development and economic uplift.
