Group Commends Developmental Reforms of President Tinubu, Calls For Replication In Abia

 

As political activities continue to build up ahead of the 2027 general elections,a prominent group in Abia state, has commended the giant reforms of the nation’s President,calling for a replication in Abia State.

 

The group with the name, “Abia Unified Voice/Abia Renewed Hope for Tinubu”,lauded the unique administration of the President that has recorded significant progress, especially on the area of infrastructure, healthcare, education,social welfare and economic policies,which they said have driven growth across the nation.

In a Press Conference in Umuahia, the Pro-All Progressive Congress group,said Abia State needs a replica of the nation’s President,to push for more monumental reforms.

 

The Leader of the group, Hon Paul Uzuegbu Uchechi, while reading out the group’s decision in a communique, said the CEO of Harmony Foam, Chief Henry Ikoh,is capable of replicating  the progressive height of Mr President, going by his industrial acumen,which can  foster economic growth.

Hon Paul Uzuegbu Uchechi disclosed that the group endorsed the former Minister of State for Science,Technology and Innovation, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh for Abia gubernatorial race.

According to him, Chief Ikoh’s endorsement for Abia Governorship in 2027, highlights his individual’s experience and potential in bringing positive change to Abia, which could resonate with voters seeking leadership with a proven track record.

 

Reeling out some philanthropic gestures of the former Minister,the  group maintained that the former Minister has demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people through his philanthropic efforts and public service and played pivotal role in promoting industrial development in Nigeria and his efforts have as well, led to the establishment of new industries, modernization of existing ones,and the creation of job opportunities for Nigerians.

 

Driven by a vision of creating inclusive economy where everyone would have the opportunity to succeed, the APC Pro group reiterated Chief Ikoh’s commitment in empowering Abia people through initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, support skill development and also provide access to finance. “Chief Ikoh has supported numerous community projects, provided scholarships to students and contributed immensely to the welfare of the less privileged”,he added.

Hon Uchechi, equally disclosed that notable Abians and groups have paid visits to Chief Ikoh, requesting his consideration for the 2027 governorship role,adding that the groups which cut across transport unions,traders union,artisans,health workers,farmers, women and Elders forums, civil society groups,among others, have made a firm stance that Chief Ikoh is the ideal candidate to address infrastructural decay, unemployment,poor welfare conditions and others in Abia.

 

The group, however, called on stakeholders and APC members to unite and support Ikoh’s potential leadership for the 2027 race.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Unified Voice/Abia Renewed Hope for Tinubu, commended the Governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodinma, for his efforts in enhancing regional development,fostering unity and driving economic growth in the South East.

 

Responding, some members of the group, Barr Nwabuisi Paul, the State Coordinator, Abia State Renewed Hope Tinubu,Lady Linda Ugonma Ogbuehi, the former Speaker, Arochukwu Legislative Council, Hon Kingsley Okorosi and Hon Princess Christy Ekeke,called for support from Abians,adding that Ikoh is a detribalized Abian,who is forthright, stressing that his experience in industrialization is what the state needs, to harness its potentials.

The motion for the endorsement of Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh for 2027 Abia governorship was moved by Barr Benedict Ukandu and seconded by Barr Nwabuisi Paul, while the Leader of the group adopted it as a working document.
