Group Berates PDP For Clearing Aspirant Caught With Alleged Fake INEC PVC

There seems to be more trouble for People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Abia state as dust raised from the last week screening exercise ahead of primary elections are yet to settle.

The Secretary, Alliance For Good Governance, Chief Ikechukwu Ubani has accused PDP of double standard after clearing the aspirant, vying for Obingwa-East State Constituency, Mr. Kelechi Seth Ebere who was alleged caught, having in possession, cloned Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) belonging to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the concluded screening exercise.

This, he, said would jeopadise the fortune of the party, insisting that such weighty matter of cloning should not be swept under the carpet.

He called on INEC, relevant stakeholders, security agents among others to rise above board, and protect Nigeria democracy from destruction by desperate politicians.

Recall that National Ambassador had reported that an aspirant, Mr. Kelechi Seth Ebere, contesting for Obingwa-East State Constituency, was caught with a suspected cloned Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), during the just concluded PDP screening exercise at PDP office Umuahia, Abia state.

Information gathered, revealed that the aspirant’s withheld provisional clearance certificate has been released.

A developement, the group described as threat to democracy and the fortunes of PDP in Abia state.

Sources had revealed that the PDP aspirant presented the suspected forged PVCs during the screening exercise and when properly checked, was discovered to be fake.
