Griezmann Hit Back At Atletico

Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann has responded to his former club’s statement claiming they will begin appropriate procedures to defend their rights and legitimate interests.

You will recall that Griezmann joined Barcelona after the Catalans met his 120 m euro buyout clause.

But, Atletico complained Barcelona and Griezmann had negotiated the deal before the buy-out price dropped from 200 million euros at the start of July. So the Spannish club is saying that Barcelona short paid them by 80 million euros.

However, the player in the middle of this controversy, Antoine Griezman has spoken out against his former club. He said, “We reached an agreement but finally it changed, it’s like that, you have to accept it,” He added, “Regarding Atletico, it’s a pity. I went to see them on purpose so they would not be caught off guard and could prepare for the future.”
