Governor Otti Vows to Prioritize People’s Interest, Reaffirms Commitment to Good Governance

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to prioritizing the welfare and interests of the people of Abia State. Speaking during a visit by the leadership of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Governor Otti emphasized his commitment to reversing any policy or action not aligned with the expectations and well-being of the people.

Describing his administration as selfless and oriented towards the betterment of Ndi Abia, Governor Otti assured continuous efforts to provide good governance for the benefit of the populace. He emphasized the importance of listening to feedback, acknowledging mistakes, and promptly correcting them to ensure effective governance.

Addressing concerns about opposition, Governor Otti acknowledged their presence but emphasized that the majority of the people seek good governance. He assured that his administration would remain focused on delivering tangible improvements for the citizens of Abia State.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received during the 2023 governorship election, Governor Otti thanked the Methodist Church for their role in mobilizing support. The visit by the Methodist Church leadership was part of a routine apostolic visit to dioceses in the Umuahia Archdiocese.

In response, the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Oliver Ali Abba, commended Governor Otti for his resounding victory and the positive changes witnessed under his leadership. He highlighted achievements such as improved power supply, healthcare system retrofitting, and infrastructure development as indicators of the Governor’s commitment to progress.
