Governor Ikpeazu monitors refuse disposal exercise in Aba.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, Friday,monitored the refuse disposal exercise in parts of Aba.
This is following the state of emergency declared by the state government in the environmental sanitation sector,especially in Aba and Umuahia.
The Governor in company of the Deputy General Manager Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) Aba Zone, Chief Rowland Nwakanma went through some streets in Aba including, Aba-Owerri Road, Faulks Road, Asa Road, Azikiwe, Ogbor-hill among others as ASEPA compactors carted away refuse generated in the streets with the assistance of the ASEPA officials.
The Governor equally used the opportunity of monitoring the refuse collection exercise to inspect the ongoing construction works at Osusu by Faulks Road, where some manholes are currently being opened for proper channelling of storm water.

He called for the cooperation of  residents in assisting the state government in its efforts to achieve environmental cleanliness in the Aba,Umuahia and environs and tasked them to ensure that the drainages in  their frontage are scooped and disposed at designated points.
Governor Ikpeazu also assured the people of his avowed commitment to delivering quality road construction that would stand the test of time as well as outlive his administration in 2023.
