Abia State Governor,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has been commended for his infrastructural revolution across the state.
Former Speaker Abia State House of Assembly and member representing Isialangwa South State constituency,Mr Chikwendu Kanu who made the commendation during a tour of the
the 14.8km Umuikaa -Omoba road in Isialangwa south LGA,further commended governor Ikpeazu for including the road as one of the roads to be commissioned in the first one hundred days of his second term in office.
Mr Kalu disclosed that he attracted the road project currently undergoing asphalt to the area to ensure motorists plying the road have a sense of belonging ,adding that he is in politics to positively affect the lives of his people.
He expressed satisfaction that the project is handled by an indigenous contractor who he said has promised to ensure standard in line with the terms of the contract.
Conducting the lawmaker round the project, the contractor handling the project and MD SMOOTEC INTEGRATED SERVICES, Mr Uzoma Onuoha noted that a total of 3.4kilometre out of the 14.8km will be completed for commissioning in the first one hundred days of the second term of Governor Ikpeazu, adding that the remaining 11.4 km will be completed before December this year.
The Contractor who said that the Governor has mobilized them back to site, lauded the Governor for his administration’s infrastructural revolution across the state and promised not to compromise standard.
He disclosed that the cement pavement technology will be deployed in the construction of the road to enable it stand the test of time.
Mr Onuoha appealed to residents and those doing business along the road to cooperate with them to enable them realize the project on time.
