Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has commended the people of Ohafia for keying into his vision of Industrializing the State through the initiation of the first ever export free zone that would provide employment opportunities for the teeming youths.
The Governor who made the commendation today during the PDP campaign rally held at Ohafia Central School, Ohafia LGA,noted that through trade, commerce and manufacturing, prosperity will return to the people of the State.
He expressed appreciation for their support saying that they have demonstrated that Ohafia is for PDP
through their massive turnout and solidiarity to him.
The Governor who noted that he has a long personal relationship with the people of Ohafia, informed that he has completed the Okonu Bridge linking the area.
While stressing that politicians should paste postals on projects they have done in the State, he added that those contesting with him should show evidence of what they have done for the people.
Those who spoke at the rally including te State PDP Chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo, the DG Abia State PDP campaign Council, Elder John Nwangborogwu and Chief Tony Ukasoanya, described the people of Ohafia as very important, urging them to stand by justice and ensure Abia south complete its eight years term by voting the Governor and PDP candidates at all levels.
Barr. (Mrs) Nnenna Obewu in her remarks on behalf of the entire Ohafia women promised the Governor that the entire women of Ohafia are solidly behind him and would ensure total victory for the party at all levels.
Governor Ikpeazu had on arrival at Ohafia LGA called on the Chairman, Ohafia Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu where he equally addressed Traditional Rulers and also had interactions with President Generals of different town unions.
