Government Pledges to Tackle Indiscipline in Civil Service

 

Umuahia, Nigeria – The Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, has declared the government’s firm resolve to eradicate indiscipline within the Civil Service, describing it as a major impediment to effective service delivery.

Speaking to Civil Servants in Umuahia, Mr. Ojeikere underscored the urgent need to address this widespread issue. He affirmed that restoring discipline within the Service remains a top priority for the government, stating that such commitment is “non-negotiable.”

The Head of Service urged Civil Servants to uphold ethical behavior, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility. He emphasized that these qualities are essential for reversing the negative public perception of the Civil Service and rebuilding its reputation.

“Cultivating personal integrity is crucial for restoring the dignity of the Civil and Public Service,” he remarked.
