Gov Otti To Unveil Abia’s 25-Year Devt Plan Next Tuesday

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, will next week Tuesday unveil the State’s 25-year development plan; a strategic future-proof blueprint designed to articulate a deliberate and transformative roadmap for Abia’s long-term growth.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this in Monday, while briefing Journalists on the outcome of this week’s Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Otti.

Prince Kanu said the plan is anchored on a collective vision for economic resilience, infrastructural expansion, social advancement and generational security.

According to the Commissioner, the strategic document is structured around six key pillars: people and resources; growth and stability; sustainable economy; social infrastructure and inclusion; governance and reform; and cross-sector linkages.

“On the whole, the future-ready development plan, if religiously implemented, will take Abia State to the third pole of economic well-being and development among the committee of states in Nigeria”, Prince Kanu said.

He explained that upon implementation, the development plan will help build a dynamic and inclusive economy by unlocking local potential and attracting global investment across key sectors.

He added that the plan envisions modern, climate-resilient infrastructure, including clean energy systems, digital connectivity and sustainable urban planning.
